Solar Led Lighting, The Perfect Combination in Led Garden Lighting.Solar Led Lighting comes in many forms, from lanterns, to lamp post lighting to flood lighting to deck lighting to string lighting. The list is many and varied.. What is Solar-Led-Lighting? ”The Solar” part of the name refers to the fact that the fixture is powered by sunlight. A Solar Panel on the fixture soaks up sunlight during the day and the stored energy is used to power the “Led.” A sensor located on the fixture detects when darkness falls and automatically switches ON the Led. When daylight is detected the fixture automatically switches itself OFF again. ”Led” refers to Light Emitting Diode, a very modern light bulb that uses low energy and operates at a much lower temperature than other light bulbs. The amazing thing about these wonderful bulbs is that they can last for an incredible 7 – 10 years! The only downside I can see is that occasionally the light will be set off by an innocent thing such as a small animal which can be a nuisance, but it is a small price to pay for adding the security element to ones home.
