Recessed Led Lighting, A Modern Lighting Fixture For A Very Modern Era.

Recessed led lighting, some examples being square recessed lighting, led floor lighting, undercabinet lighting and modern bathroom lighting are many folks idea of what contemporary lighting fixtures should be all about - and I really love them don`t you:-)

(LED`s) are being increasingly used in a variety of appliances including lighting fixtures, not just in the modern home, but also in the commercial field, particularly in shops and stores.

A Modern Light Fixture for The Modern Era

Recessed led lighting quite simply, is great because it combines a modern style of lighting fixture (the recessed light fixture) with a very modern light bulb, (the LED).

The reason why Led`s are becoming increasingly popular, not just in the home but almost everywhere in fact is because they have such a long lifespan (of 5 – 20 years) and are one of the most hardy and durable light bulbs available today - this is why they come so highly recommended.

Less Heat = Less of a Fire Hazard

Did you know for instance that led`s give off very low heat and are less of a fire risk compared to most other light bulbs? They are also highly efficient and eco-friendly.

Ceiling lighting fixtures in general are a particular favourite of many people (including me:-). The reason for this I feel is that this type of lighting covers certain important points. The first one being that they are usually one of the main focal points when one enters a room when it comes to the lighting layout in a home and the second being that the light that they emit sets the ambience and tone for that room.

Main Focal Point

Other lighting fixtures such as wall lights, table lamps and track lighting are also delightful too but the main focal point in a room when it comes to lighting layout is always the central ceiling piece first (ideally a beautiful crystal chandelier), and second the ceiling lights that accompany the chandelier ie recessed led lighting set into the ceiling or walls, and so on.

In the delightful photo below is pictured recessed led lighting which is installed in a dropped ceiling above a bed. The setting looks very nice I think you will agree.

The nature of recessed lighting is the same for all, no matter what type of bulb is fitted. Recessed, meaning “set into” is simply a light fixture that is made to be embedded into a ceiling or wall; or even into the floor in some cases.

Where Can They Be Fitted?

This type of lighting fixture is very good for rooms with low ceilings. They are also very good to highlight certain areas or objects in a room such as a statue or fine work of art etc. To do this one needs to install the light fixture (in this case the recessed led lighting fixture), in the ceiling, above and close, to the wall where the object is located.

Going back to the above photo of the four lights located above a bed, notice how the light emitted from the fixture washes over the wall arcing outwards from the four fixtures, each giving an exquisite tone of light to the desired areas of the wall. I think you will agree, the room setting, with the bed, and the two table lamps looks delightful and would grace any home.

The second photo below shows again how one can use this type of lighting in a dropped ceiling. This is a beautiful dining area being “shown off” (very beautifully) by delightful Recessed led lighting.

Spacing..

One important thing to note went it comes to recessed lighting spacing is that there are so many ways that they can be set out.

Some folk like their fixtures to be set at equal distances and to all be of the same uniform size and shape. But then some folk like to "stagger" their fixtures and have varying sizes of the fixtures themselves to avoid the old fashioned “airport runway” kind of look, basically meaning running in straight lines on the ceiling or wall. Each to his own I guess but I personally like to experiment a little, to try to be different.

Let Your Creative Juices Flow

It`s amazing what one can conjure up if you put your mind to it and designing your own home lighting layout is definitely something I feel that most people can achieve if they really let their creative juices flow:-). Recessed lighting design is fascinating once you try it and the sense of achivement one gets once the job is complete is absolutely amazing.

Once you have decided on the size of the fixture, the next thing is the style and the finish that you will be requiring. The “Trim” is the part of the recessed fixture that protrudes down slightly, usually by 1 or 2 cm (if you were looking up at the ceiling)..

My personal favourite when it comes to the trim, is Silver but Polished Chrome Finish, as seen beautifully in the photograph below. Square recessed lighting is popular but I prefer the round type personally as seen beautifully below.

I think you will agree that the leaf motif looks really attractive and the Chrome Finish would go well with most decors in most homes which is an important factor I feel.

Just To Recap..

Recessed Led Lighting Fixtures are a very contemporary, up to date, light fixture which are very appealing. Led light bulbs are very efficient, have long life, and are very safe to use because they function using such low heat.

Led`s are very hardy and are capable of withstanding constant use and cycles, meaning they can be switched on and off time after time without having any adverse affect to them.

Testament to the fact of how durable and hardy these terrific light bulbs are is that they are used in abundance in almost every appliance and machine one can imagine on the planet.

RLL Fixtures. are excellent as stand alone lighting fixtures but I particularly like them when they are accompanied by a delightful chandelier in matching colour/finish. Absolutely Exquisite:-).
