Capture those memorable moments with Picture-Lighting

Picture-Lighting can come in a few different styles:-

* Fixed * Can be fixed above (accent), below, or to the side.

* Clamped On * Clamps on to your picture/portrait; pivotal head.

Picture Lighting is also another underused and underestimated area where lighting can be used for excellent effect. Perhaps you have a treasured family portrait or an oil painting that you would like highlighted. Nothing achieves this better than this style of lighting.

Below are some technical terms and names sometimes associated with this style of fixture:-

* Portrait Lighting *

* Portrait Lights *

* Lighting Photography Portrait *

* Portrait Lighting Tecqniques *

* Studio Lighting Portrait *

Once you have purchased your fixture why not try experimenting by fitting it in different positions. Although above is the norm, below and to either side work quite well depending on the layout of your room, the color of your decor etc.

A recommended tip is to try if you can to use a *dimmer-switch in conjunction with your light. This works really well with this type of light and of course will help to save you money in the long-run.

This category of lighting can be narrowed down to a few different forms but the most popular seems to be the narrow oblong type that is usually located above or below the picture, portrait, or painting.. whatever the case may be. But the best and most popular location is above the subject matter because this limits the amount of shadow and makes maximum use of the available light.

This lighting fixture can sometimes also be found in the kitchen,used as under cabinet lighting, or even above worktop lighting so as you can see it is quite adaptable and is multi-purpose.
