Led Tube Lighting, A “New-Kid-on-the-Block” in Tube Lighting has arrived.
Led Tube Lighting, is set to replace old fashioned fluorescent strip lighting in the coming years but what exactly is Led Tube Lighting and what are the great benefits of having them in the home?
Led Light Bulbs (LED) stands for Light Emitting Diode. The first LED was made in the 1920`s by a man named Oleg Vladimirovich Losev. He was a radio technician who noticed that diodes used in radio receivers emitted light when current passed through them. Serendipity is a fitting word :-). Soon after was born the very first LED Light Bulb. Say Hello to Led-Tube-Lighting When we hear the words “Fluorescent-Strip-Lighting” we usually think of antiquated, bulky, lighting fixtures, the type that we see in commercial premises such as offices and public buildings, as well as kitchen lighting in the home of course. But there is a transformation on the horizon.. Enter, stage left, the humble Led-Tube-Light In the first photo below you will see a close-up of this type of lighting fixture. As you can see the actual shape of the lighting fixture is no different to standard fluorescent-tube-lighting so the changeover is usually quite trouble free and simply a matter of replacing one tube light with another.

Why Make The Change?
Led-Tube-Lighting Why Change? There are a number of reasons to make the change but the first major reason is because by doing so you will be helping the environment. The second reason is that because led tube lights use much less energy than fluorescent tube lighting you will be cutting down on your energy bill thus saving money. Instant Start Unlike fluorescent-tube-lighting, led-tube- lighting has no annoying flicker. More great news is that the light shines to full capacity almost instantly. So again, unlike its predecessor, the fluorescent, you don`t have to wait for what seems like an age for the light to come on. How cool is that:-). In the second photograph below you will see a delightful led tube lighting “formation.” The multi-coloured arrangement sure looks beautiful I think you will agree.

Modern-Kitchen-Lighting
The ideal location for your led-lighting-fixture is in the kitchen. In many instances you will be able to do a straight swap with your fluorescent tube lighting fixture but it is advisable to check with your lighting store in relation to this to ensure that your current fitment is compatible with he new led tube light.. Lighting Store Friendly Tip. A good idea is to e-mail to your lighting store a couple of photos of your existing lighting fixture plus an additional photo or two of either end of the fixture with the tube light taken out for good measure. The final photo depicts what I would describe as a theatre full of Led-Tube-Lights. The setting being ultra-modern is very fitting I think you will agree for such contemporary looking lighting fixtures such as these.
