Indoor Plant Lighting, Nature and Lighting Technology “United.”
Indoor Plant Lighting where modern home lighting is concerned is becoming increasingly popular. This eclectic mix of lighting technology and mother nature is a very attractive proposition for we humans and there is nothing that beats a beautiful vibrantly green full leafed plant illuminated and accentuated exquisitely for all to delight in.
Certain plants can survive longer than others in indoor conditions so my first friendly tip would be to check with your stockist (horticulturist) for their advice on which plants would fall into this category. Their expert knowledge will be able I am sure to point you in the right direction with regard to the best light for plants. Pictured below is a lovely table lamp with matching plant holder. Very stylishly subtle and would add an elegant touch to any home. As you can see the plant itself is`nt too elaborate but subtlety is certainly the key when it comes to Indoor Plant Lighting, less being usually more!.

My personal favorite are ones known as the Chinese Evergreen variety (Aglaonema). For many reasons this particular plant is ideally suited as an Indoor plant not least because it only needs minimal light to get by on but again your plant stockist will be the expert and will be able to advise you perfectly on which one(s) will be the best to opt for.
Recessed lighting is an excellent light source when it comes to your Indoor Plant Lighting. Some folks use Spot Lamps too but the key is to use the correct form of lighting that matches the plant. Photographed below is a nice example of how you can use recessed lighting to illuminate your plant. Although the pot plant has gone AWOL in this particular shot:-) you could use the space for anything really, a statue for instance, a lovely venetian vase.. you get the picture:-).

Fluorescent tube lighting is a popular method for indoor plant lighting. The downside of this type of lighting is that red rays produced by this method is at a bear minimum. Red rays are something that indoor plants need to flourish and to help them grow.
A sign that an indoor plant is`nt getting enough light is (a) lack or stunted growth and (b) if your plant droops badly. Lack of colour and vibrancy in the leaves and/or flowers is another sign that insufficient light is being received. In the final photograph below is another very nice example of a table lamp with matching plant holder. Note how the plant itself is`nt too over-bearing. The balance is just right I feel with the size of the plant, the plant holder (or vase) and the matching table lamp. Very fetching! Indoor Plant Lighting
Small indoor solar lights can be used to illuminate your indoor plant life. Being as they are portable you can try your solar lighting in different spots, for example behind the plant, to the left, or right, even underneath if you so wish.
I love all forms of solar lighting as it is virtually cost-free to run, fantastic for the environment and it is portable so you can relocate it to wherever you wish. Remember that plant varieties are many including the indoor variety so for the best results please make sure you consult with the experts to help you choose which plants are best for you.
