Lighting Control is almost as important as the light fixtures we install in our homes. Cost effective and Labor Saving.

Lighting Control is certainly something that I would definitely recommend for your home. Whether it is for your entire home or just one room. Your home lighting system can ensure that the home lighting automation you utilize makes your lighting and home experience a safer and more secure one.

The photograph below depicts a lighting control panel that also allows the owner to operate most of the other electrical devices in their home. I love gadgests like this don`t you, I am sure that one day in the future every home will have one:-).

The Advantages for "Whole House?"

One can switch on, or off, their entire house`s lighting system.Or, your fixtures can be operated on a "room by room" basis for better functionality and control.

Particularly recommended though for large sized residences or when one has guests or is hosting a party in a certain room of the home.

*The Single Room Option?*

Usually this option is considered when one particular room in the house needs to be highlighted such as a baby`s nursery for example or perhaps a home theater. This option has a lower overall price tag, not least because there are fewer lights to control.

*Control Types*

Wired or Wireless?

Wired systems are generally known to be more reliable than wireless systems but the downside is the cost, as it can be expensive rewiring such a system into the house.

Wireless Systems obviously are far easier to install as there is no costly rewiring needed but the professional choice would be the wired system if ones budget permits.

Control Pads

The Lighting Control Pad (or "Keypad") is usually situated on a wall just inside the door of the room. These days though, modern technology has meant we can now operate our fixtures via hand-held remote controls; computers; and even remarkably, cell-phones.

Any light control switch that you decide to install should ideally always be situated in easy reach once you walk into the room. Some people know them as light dimmer control but they all more or less solve the same purpose i,e, control of your lights by way of a knob, remote, or switch to change the mood or light-setting in your home.

Outdoor light control is becoming very popular as we strive to make our lives easier and more relaxing and by using controlled lighting we achieve this far better.

Dimmers

A dimmer is used to control the level of light in a room; to make the level of light darker or brighter.

Dimmers serve the dual purpose of firstly allowing one to adapt the level of light in a room, to suit the mood one is trying to achieve but of equal importance a dimmer helps to conserve energy so as to help one save money on ones energy bill.

Dimmers come highly recommended, there are varying types on the market, and once you have owned one you will never want to be without them again:-).
