No Filaments

Once a filament blows in a bulb the bulb dies and is beyond use ~ LED`s don`t have filaments so the have a longer lifespan.

No Glass

The bulb part is made of "plastic" where LED`s are concerned so they are more robust, and hence last longer than say Flourescent Light Bulbs. Also, as with filaments, once the bulb (glass) breaks, the light-bulb is no longer usable. So replacement led-light-bulbs are rarely required.

Energy Efficient Light Bulbs

LED`s are very energy efficient. The main reason is that other bulbs generate lots of heat much of which goes to waste,whereas with LED`s very low amounts of heat are required which makes them far more efficient.

LED`s are ideal when a device or appliance is used frequently i.e. Christmas Tree Lights, Remote Controls, and so on, as this does`nt have negative affects on them, unlike most other light bulbs.
