Energy Efficient Bulbs, the common sense choice for your home lighting needs.

Energy Efficient Bulbs have evolved positively over the years. They now resemble traditional shapes and styles and can cover a wide range of needs and purposes. For many appliances in and out of the modern home this is excellent news and is great for your Lighting Fixtures and your Modern Lighting solutions.

Energy-Efficient -Bulbs

Energy Efficient Bulbs

One of the reasons why we should all consider changing to EEB`s is because they last ten or more times longer than standard bulbs, so the question of whether we should change to them is a simple one to answer. Light Bulbs of this ilk were generally bulky and cumbersome looking affairs and somewhat ugly in appearance. But nowadays it is sometimes virtually impossible to tell just by looking at a bulb whether it is in fact low energy using bulb or not

This is a vital recent advancement where lighting technology is concerned because we live in an age where aesthetics and looks are very important. We now desire our everyday appliances to not only be very functional but to look good too.

Of course if one adds to the mix the money saving, environmentally friendly aspect, then we are on to a surefire winner.

Is it best to Leave ones lights on, or switch them off?

It does depend on a couple of things. If you are running energy efficient bulbs (which hopefully you are:-) then generally, you can leave them on longer than traditional bulbs, because they do use less energy. With low energy bulbs when you switch one on, by doing so you it is reckoned you use roughly two to three minutes of energy so please bear this in mind.

Further to the above paragraph, Another excellent way of saving on your energy bill is by getting into the habit of switching your lights off when you vacate a room. A recent report in the UK stated that we waste nearly £200 million pounds by leaving our lights on! This is incredible really when you consider that by just adjusting our ways ever so slightly we can all make a difference to the planet and save money in the process!

By using this category of bulb in combination with a dimmer switch this can further reduce energy output in relation to light used throughout the home. This will in turn reduce your outgoings and you can make substantial savings just by simply switching from one type of bulb to another and by using a dimmer switch in unison.

Please see below a diverse list of this classification of light bulb:-

  • Low Energy Light Bulbs
  • Fluorescent Light Bulbs
  • Compact Fluorescent
  • Energy Saving Lamps
  • Efficient Light Bulb
  • Halogen Bulbs
  • Led Light Bulbs

So To Summarise

We can all save money and help the environment by altering slightly our buying methods and by choosing certain products over another. By modifying our habits we can also assist in the process of making our planet greener and we can help make the world a better and safer place to live in..

Happy Lightbulbing!
