Antique Chandeliers would be very expensive? You would be right in most instances.

Antique Chandeliers come in different styles in their own right. Brass Chandeliers of this type are an excellent choice not least because they are so practical and are easy to maintain and clean.

But my recommendation will always be the Crystal Chandelier, old or new, because nothing sets the mood and ambiance like a beautiful crystal fixture in ones home.

As with many lighting fixtures Antique Chandeliers come in lots of styles, shapes, finishes and sizes. The cost will vary dramatically depending on a few factors but if you are thinking of buying the genuine article as opposed to Reproduction Antique Lighting the price will differ even more so, so this should be taken into account when deciding on your options.

As mentioned there are quite a few different styles some of which are listed below:-

  • Crystal
  • Antique Ceiling Lighting
  • Antique Bronze Lighting

There are many others of course but these are just a few. The materials these fixtures are made of can be as follows:-

  • Bronze
  • Brass
  • Copper
  • Iron
  • Wood

Original models are usually run on gas but they can also be found converted to electricity, candles, and even solar powered conversions.

Antique Chandeliers will bring a touch of class and elegance to your room and home. The most suitable place to hang them are the living room, or dining room area, but the hallway is also another good location for them. As with all chandeliers they bring an air of warmth and coziness to a home and as with most fixtures there is usually one (in the way of cost) to suit most families budgets and pockets.

As with all chandeliers do remember to purchase a couple of wall sconces that will match and compliment your chandelier. Most good lighting retailers will offer matching sets and you can usually save yourself money by buying your lighting all at once, so if your budget permits try to do so if you can as it will pay dividends in the long run.

I have listed below some more terms used in connection with this type of lighting:-

  • Antique Pendant Lighting
  • Antique Ceiling Lighting
  • Antique Table Lamps
  • Antique Floor Lamps
  • Antique Wll Lighting

Whichever one or ones you choose there is nothing quite like lighting fixtures that can add warmth and delight to a home and antique lighting is no different. Especially on those cold dark evenings when you are nestled with your love ones by the warm glow of the fire. Magical!
